There are better deals
Call Daytona direct and ask if they have a Factory ReMan.

I'd remove your ph-number cause this is an open board...
Glad to see you're pursuing a solution...

Ordered from Hammer.
My Local Indy will install the TC88a.
(Will probably eventually want to connect to a PC and play with a custom ignition timing)
Need suggestions/recommendations for starting point settings.
I am thinking 2: 2: 5: 2
Will never need to rev beyond 5,000 rpm even after break in.
Any insight will help..
Perhaps these settings are still too aggressive.

Received the TC88a today and dropped it off with my Independent.
Time to get the bike back together.
Will give them a few days to get caught up so they can schedule my bike for final assembly.

I sm hoping for more than a simple 10 HP gain and more than a meager 4-5 LBS of additional Torque, but, as long as the engine is happy, I will be too.

Its a shame, because I changed out the old, stock cams for new, but still original, stock cams, because of slight wear on the ones that were in there.
Just figured this would provide some assurance of longevity to a rebuild. (besides I got a great price on them)
Another reason for going stock was balancing reliable vs aggressive. (not having to weigh the benefits of going with stronger springs vs the possibility of floating valves, or for that matter, creating a rougher idle).
The final reason was to try and maintain good MPG.
This adventure sure has put a dent in my financial future.
Cannot wait to break-in the engine and then take a road trip!
I thought the 883 heads would produce more power (49 cc heads) vs the added cost and facing the lower compression of installing a set of 1200 heads.
Started this whole trip because of an annoying tap tap tap from the front rocker.
I was not on a power trip, but second thoughts do crop up now and then.
