You're better off reducing the base gasket height.

If I’m breaking mounts I would check the crank runout. I’m running somewhere around .035/.038 squish. Was thighter last year but found the piston rock might have an issue so backed it off .010 and coated the piston skirts. Looks good so far. Seems like you can get a tighter squish with the 1250 bore/aluminum cylinders. I ran really tight with that set up, gotta warm it up good tho. Curious to see how much piston rock you have after running it in.

Yea I spoke with dan and he agreed 0.020 is to small with the cast irons but should be good with a 0.010 base and ending up with a 0.035 squish. Since its base I may just finish out the season as is, and make the engine changes this winter during down time, that way I wont be rushed and can inspect everything more thoroughly

Mac, How many CC of dome is your piston? and what CC are your chambers?
Considering having new pistons made this winter with a bit more dome to them, curious what your running. Mine came out to 22cc dome/ 91cc chambers

Ya that will be the end result for sure is going with new pistons. I was playing it safe before and more focused on street and strip, but now Im planning to build for track only, Hopefully can squeeze 150 out of it with more compression, But that will be much later this coming winter.

HaHa, not going to believe this but I’m cleaning my garage and watching those boxes and that info burn on the bon fire right now! I leave it up to Aaron and Dan and just tune what they send me. If you talk to them they may have it in their records. I did write down the corrected ccp according to the formula on their website, 11.8, if that helps. That’s all I have, just a bracket guy working with what I have to give us what we need. IMO theres definitely more in the combo if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s giving us the consistency/mph we need so we’re not stepping on it.

Haha, all good just kicking around ideas and options right now, motor is running awesome as is, going to finish out the season and make some adjustments this winter
