Buell to Sportster wiring graft
Might not be the right place for this but here goes. I am building a Sportster dirt bike project and will be using 7/8" dirt bars. I want to usethe Buell Blast 7/8" left and right controls for turn, start, stop, etc. What sort of problems should I anticipate? Im good with re-connectoring. Thanks, Steve

I have no information on the Blast wiring sub-harnesses...
What year Sportster Main Wiring Harness do you have?
What year Blast sub-harness are you looking at?

Ah yes. 2000 Sportster and probably makes sense to use similar era Buell stuff. I could also use any 7/8" Buell controls, not necessarily Blast.

I believe this is what you will need to connect together...
The Buell Blast connectors are not compatible to the Sportster connectors - So I have dropped the Buell connector pin# completely - Chop off the Buell connectors and replace them with compatible connectors to the Sportster Main Harness...
The Blast left switch control has both Rt & Lt turn signal switches as ONE SWITCH - which means it turns on Left or Right by sliding the switch - It is not a momentary switch like the Sportster - You will need to manually turn ON & OFF the turn signals, which will require Switching it ON/OFF to start it and then On/OFF to stop it... The Blast was designed to use an auto type flasher like the 1986-90 Sportsters... (maybe you won't use the turn signals at all...)

You're welcome - I see you're already a team member, so either pay up for another year or pass the membership as a gift on to someone else who deserves it...
But thanks for the very kind thought...
