Default Celebrating Sportsterpedia's Third Anniversary

Here we are again - Celebrating another year.

Some of the highlights of the past year:

This year has been filled with lots of discussions on the Oil Pump used on EVO model Sportsters and the possibility of retro-fitting them to earlier models. Hippysmack has been collecting and sharing all kinds of information and pictures and editing a lot of pages in the SP for future reference. Thanks to everyone who has been contributing to those discussions, posting pictures and commenting on the oil pump functions. See the IH, EVO & REF sections of the SP for the great results (and more to come).

More recently in the year we have had a great discussion of Oil Filters. The info in the SP (IH,EVO,REF) sections grew to include many insights and pictures.

Another project in the SP was collecting and posting references to the various parts catalogs, service bulletins and recall notices. As the discussion in the SP notes, later catalog versions list currently available parts that may supercede (and not list) the originally supplied parts. See the Sub-Documents at http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/partsartsplus01

In the REF section, Tools got a major re-organization and expanded to include many of the common & not-so-common options available. A great resource.

We recently reorganized a bit of the REF section to create 'Service Procedures' which includes transmission checks, and we created a General-MSR (Maintenance, Service & Repair) grouping to make it easier to find miscellaneous information.

There are also hundreds and hundreds of additions we've made all over the Sportsterpedia. In addition to the normal maintenance of the SP pages for XLForum upgrades, many other specific information updates and additions have occured in 2018. You can see a list of some of these in Post#155, Post#158 and Post#185 of the Progress Thread: http://xlforum.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1949239

If you're interested, the web statistics for Sportsterpedia access is now linked off the homepage to: http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/start:webstats

As always -

We are grateful to all those who directly and indirectly are contributing to the Sportsterpedia. The XLForum discussions continue to provide a rich vein of technical information to be mined and smelted into the Sportsterpedia Golden Book of Sportster Knowledge.
