I had a 2004 Triumph Bonneville T 100. Was a great bike on our local roads.

Heheheh all of them

My Sporty I really didn’t have a reason to sell it, other than the fear that one day it would fail and I would had to pay big money to bring it back to life. But it was carbureted and it had that true classic Harley sound, so I should had kept it just because of it old school character and it’s sound. I also sold it because to me it was just a cute in town little bike that I couldn’t go very far on it.

Second my NC700X, it was a mild adventure sport touring bike, it had great cargo abilities with its front trunk and bagger bags, I also had it well equipped for long distance, most appealing fact was that it was very light way and not top heavy so it had great center of gravity and very easy to maneuver. I sold it because it didn’t matter what kind of windshield I installed, I always got a lot of wind buffering and noise and since I couldn’t alíviate that issue easily I got rid of it.

Last but not least, my 2018 Road Glide, the best bike I ever owned, It fit me perfectly stock as it came, I only had to installed a $100 taller windshield and that solved all my issues. The only issue I couldn’t resolve was its weight, it was a bit too much to handle for my size and age. Finally I had to get rid of it because I lost my job and could afford the payments anymore, but if I could go buy another one I would.

And those are my biggest 3 regrets of bikes that I owned, loved, but decided to let go of them anyways.

There you have it.

1963 Triumph T100ss despite it's 6 volt Lucas prince of darkness lights and wicked handling. It twice almost spat me off. 883R Sportster 50k miles in 3 & 1/2 years ultra reliable. Sold due to arthritis and the other aches and pains of being 60+.

i don't look at the past... but at the future...

so
new future XL models with vvt engines (preferibly mark II)...
if this would be not possible... then i would forced to buy a classic metric Superbike
this only in case i would have ceased to be fallen for the current ride

Hi Daniele. Am not too bad hope you are well. Have found losing weight has helped a bit with leg and back pain. Haven't ruled out another bike so will be back on a Sportster in the next 2 years

Would be happy to still have the 2003 883 or 2002 1200 Sport.
For 2021, the surviving "Sportster" (looks like a Vrod) will have the 1250cc evolution Max engine:
Liquid cooled (radiator is not at all hidden)
Dual downdraft throttle bodies
Internally balanced, so no longer rubber mounted
145 HP
90 # torque
