I found the 96 too rich but at times the 97 not rich enough. The Y8 needle jet with the 97 needle would basically be like a 96.5 and make the transition from the 27.5 pilot to 97 needle, which I found a little rough yesterday, better. Wedge is going to try to confirm if he did the Y8. He recalls thinking about it.
I don't know of anyone else using it. I think I'm going to order one.
I'm getting tired of tearing this apart everyday but I've come this far in my quest for perfection and started popping out my exhaust on decel last night so it's coming off today again. I suspect a speck of something is clogging my pilot. I may just drain the tank and pull the petcock. I've been wondering about the condition of the screen. Replaced the fuel line the other day. It was worn in a few spots and I saw a couple little specks when I drained my bowl. I know they deteriorate inside after time. Went thru that on my Peterbilt and replaced all those at one time. That sucked.

Actually it says 25 in the tuning manual but in actuality, it's a 20. Found that out when i pulled it back when I started tuning. Mine was the 42-11 kit from mikuni too.
It also says the 70 pump nozzle is installed but it's the 60. I pulled it to check. This was a sealed box directly from Mikuni.

That's exactly where I got the Y8 coming from.
I can send you the map if you'd like. It's one I made using 3 or 4 other maps as guides including Xena's Black Panther map, Rico's 8ball, Wedge's mod, and initial switch 2.

It's not. I used the low map, low rpm numbers from switch 2 as a guide down there. I'm a little more retarded but more advanced than any of the customs down there. Probably helped with my good low end torque.
On it's way. The vss is at 1386 just so you know. Cranking revs at 2. Fixed rpm limit 6800.

Just had a lengthy talk with Hammer Dan. I'm really not far off. 167.5 or 170 main maybe play with timing a little more and my hp and torque will cross mid to upper 80s.
The torque curve of my exhaust and cams are nearly identical. That's why it peaks like it does there. I'll probably gain a few more ft.lbs and hang on a tad longer on the torque. My max HP and max torque will be nearly the same. Upper 80s. Not a bad thing for what I wanted. It is a torque monster. Probably there already with the 170.

Switch at 2 would take 3 degrees off the entire map.
