Rear Sprocket Runout
Has anyone ever had an issue with rear sprocket runout?
I bought a rear wheel off someone with a pretty fresh looking sprocket on it, but when I installed it, the sprocket has some wild runout relative to the wheel.
The wheel has a fresh bearings and does not have any noticeable wobble. You can clearly see the sprocket move relative to the wheel and the backing plate.
The only thing that I am questioning is the threads on the pivot stud are bent. I didn't think that would mess with it since there is clearance in the axle plate.
Anyone got any ideas?

The sprocket should be a very close fit on the flange. If the PO didn’t clean things fully or tightened up the bolts in order to force the sprocket over the flange he may have shaved some material that is now caught in there and causing the wobble.
I’m kind of assuming it’s a wobble as opposed to out of concentricity.
I’d say pull it off and check out the fit/installation.
