Greg was at the site when I got there and the fun began. No rain yet.
Started raining hard just as we started to setup camp and then it stopped as we finished and cleared.

Early Tuesday morning we sat around drinking coffee until the fog lifted and roads dried and then took off on a two hundred and forty mile(seemed longer) ride thru the following connected state forests:
Elk State Forest
Sinnemahoning State Forest
Hammersley Wild Area
Sproul State Forest
Susquehannock State Park
For the most part no cell, no gas, no houses and no people once we got off route 6. We could ride for twenty+ miles and not see another car. Scenery in the mountain canyons was stunning and the roads were fun and challenging at times. My favorite type of road.
Lots of yellow signs with a horse and buggy's on them that made me nervous on every blind turn in the road.

Rained Wednesday so we visited the local museum. Ha, the Zippo Lighter Museum then went back and sat around the camp under a tarp while it poured.

Beautiful day on Thursday as we packed. Go figure.

The ride thru the parks was a blast and well worth the trip even if for only one day of riding.
Had a excellent time ridding, camping and BS'ing with Greg.

You rode right past the area where my grandfather & friends had a hunting cabin. My family camped on the grounds next to a stream when I was young. We used to travel (walking & driving) all over that wild area looking for wild life. We saw bears, beavers, racoons, etc. and lots & lots of deer...

Any pictures?

Ride On...

Stopping and taking pictures was not a high priority when ridding such fun roads.

Damn, don’t know how you guys enjoyed that when I wasn’t there! Seriously, discretion over came desire and it was my call to stay home and rehab. I’d probably would have just slowed down the riding, being an old cripple, so you were better off! That Galton town sounds familiar, that was more than a few years ago!
Glad you guys did it, next trip over look out for the old guy!

Sorry I missed it. Just can't sit in a camp chair all day. At least you guys didn't have to listen to me be a grump all day, bitching about my aches & pains. Better weather next time.

Found this picture of the camp site on my iPad this morning. Greg’s tent is behind the RV.

Looking to return again next spring. Still lots of roads thru the surrounding mountains that need some abuse.
Anybody ever wanting to ride this area and are not into camping, there is this place on route 6 in Kane. Looked nice as we rolled by and is in the middle of the ridding area.
