After I get home from work (highway miles) I run 200-210ish. That is in summertime Phoenix without an oil cooler.

Have an 07 883R with NRHS Hurricane A/C, Rinehart 2:1 and remap. Have put 1500 miles on it since purchhased new in May of this year and have never really been over 200F. Been in 80's in Michigan, mostly city driving, but some 70mph highway. Have the oil temp gage and running dino 20-50. So far so good!

'07 1200R w/ 12,000 miles on the clock. Stage 1, big sucker air filter, Teds V-Twin slash out mufflers, and dealer re-map. It's always run 175-180 before and after the mods. The only time it went to about 200 was on a 90 deg. day, in beach traffic coming back home, about 45 min. in stop and go driving.
H-D dino oil in both holes.

What does your temps look like after sitting in traffic for 30 mins not really moving in 95°F heat.

With a fresh 1207 10:1 top end, I did a 40 mile trek in town and 70/80mph freeway. My jaw dropped when I saw 250 degree when I stopped. The temp outside was 110. I just installed a oil cooler.

after adding cubic inches and compression, I was getting oil temps of 250-275 .... added a cooler and now it's 200-210 no matter how hard I go........

ideal oil temps are around 200F .... that's low enough to be well within the oils peak range and hot enough to burn off contaniments (fuel and water) without producing too much soot (that's why your oil turns black)

1200C, 2004, I run about 200-220, depending on where I am riding. I never see above 220 though, and thats in the city, mid day with traffic.

It really depends....

Never above 210 or so where I live, but typically 175 or so...

No cooler...
