Windshield on a Sporty? Surely you jest.

It doesn't make any difference to me. I have a full face helmet and there's so much wind coming around the windshield it doesn't affect how much hits my chest.

I actually like a windshield. I have a Memphis shades demon on the Vulcan. Been thinking about one for the Sportster

Pros on wearing a FF helmet:It has it's own Eco-system, it will let you know how fresh your breath is, Extra padding will make it really quiet, the chicks can't tell how old you are until you take it off, and it foils the FACIAL Recognition cameras that seem to be popping up everywhere.
Cons: if it's not completely closed when you start off it can catch a Wasp pretty easily, riding in a driving rain and wind the face shield can pop open and refresh you, the distraction of water drops running down the inside of the face shield, when a really big bug hits the shield and covers 80% of one side.

Neither of those things happens with my full.face.helmet.

Whereas with an open.face.helmet, and a really big bug hits you in the face …

I was having a problem with my face shield popping open on a very windy 450 mile trek, about a month ago, and realized when I got home, of course, that I needed to tighten the flip mechanism bolts, now I think it's a little too tight 'cause when riding in the rain I get a trickle of water running down , dead center, on the inside PS I always wear a FF helmet, rarely use my WS

Anybody know where I can get a replacement shield for an old Snell 80's vintage Full face helmet? Been looking at some of the newer ones thinking I can modify one.

Not me, almost always have one. My riding is mainly long distance where I am on the bike for several hundred miles at a time and I like the added protection and the fact that I can easily ride one handed at highway if I wish

I tried windshields decades ago but never really liked them. I prefer to ride as naked as possible.
