i think that too
only about cars though
they build excellent and expensive bikes, but don't meet my personal tastes...
maybe only exception for the Nine T series (the R Race Sport one is gorgeous)

Oh, I did see a Tesla SUV this morning.

Do I recall Jeremy Clarkson liking the I8?

I don't have a strong opinion either way, once the price range gets up there I lose interest.

I still like BMW motorcycles, more or less. The NineT variants and some of the R12's are ok in my book. But there are other brands I like better.

Whether we're talking their cars or their bikes they are typically very well thought out and engineered for performance, and sometimes for maintenance too. I generally like working on both. But there are always exceptions, certain components that make you go WTF where they thinking!

I agree. I had 4 BMWs (e30 318i, e36 318is, e36 320i and e46 320d)and I'm going to buy another one on monday probably. All of them had around 300k km (190k miles) when they finished career in my ownership and all of them had only a few minor issues, nothing serious.

Seen a few I8s, never knew they were electric. My local HD dealer, Bowkers of Preston is also a BMW (cars & bikes) & Maserati dealer.Maybe it's a sign of old age (60) I started to look at BMW bikes more. Like the classic 70s toast rack R75 in candy red best of the bikes. The R9T Pure is my favourite of the modern range but I wouldn't sell my sporty to get one! Rode a BMW R75/5 in 1979 briefly when I swapped bikes with a guy at work, nice but very expensive & I was a big Triumph fan then having just bought a T140 Bonnie

in my family we had many... many BMW cars... since the workshop where my father worked were also a BMW dealer...

they were a nice piece of work, powerful, and a joy to drive in any circumstances

Nice car's!!
I drive & ride a lot of miles or Kilometres . so I'm used to having to fill the tank up & like to get back on the road as soon as possible.
so I wonder how far you can go driving an electric ( car or bike ) fast , & how long it takes to re fill the battery's to full charge?

Love this car..but sooo damn expensive. Not going to happen any time in my near future.

Clarkson did test this car and against an M3. He initially preferred the i8....but then realized he couldn't get further than the end of the street on the electric battery so chose the M3.
