There are no modern, hitech lines that will out perform traditional black lines on an IronHead. Not only that, they are typically made from stuffer material and will kink when installed in tight places like under the starter motor. Spend your money on something else, something that matters

That doesn’t surprise too much. Have you drained the oil tank and primary yet? I’ll bet all that oil is pretty nasty. What about the fuel line, did you replace that yet? Any fuel that was left in the carb has likely varnished the inside shut, though your first post said you had it running. Did it start up easy?

Mick, I agree with the fact that good old rubber hose will perform perfectly adequately, the hi-tech statement is far from correct. There are modern hoses that are lighter and extremely more durable for when only the best will do. With a minimum bend radius of .75” for -6 line and .50” for -4, at full flow, there are some options. Overkill in most IH’s for sure, but for some there is no substitute.

I just like the look of cloth covered line, like the fuel line BMW used way back when.
