Default Had Kuryakyn Grips installed

Hi all. Purchased and had installed a set of Kuryakyn Dillenger Grips. Roughly 100 miles ago. Came home from a ride. Cleaning up the bike I noticed a problem. One of the end caps and screw is missing. Checked the other one. Screw was loose. Put some blue Loctite on the threads. Called Kuryakyn. They seemed willing to help me. But didn't have the pieces. Told me to go back the dealer. Dealer orders a new set. All I need is the Screw and End Cap. Parts Manager gets involved. Wont give me the pieces. Worried about getting stuck with a $100 set that he cant sell. Now I have to wait for him to contact Kuryakyn for an Authorization to Warranty it. Same dealer sold and installed the grips. All this because Kuryakyn didn't use Loctite. But they did mention to check all fasteners in the install sheet. My thing is, Shouldn't this be Warranty? The Parts Manager says its not.

Just tell him the BBB will be noticed. You cannot install something that will fail in a day or two. Would be another story if you had install it.

Today Jan 21 I am still getting the Run Around. The Parts Manager wont Warranty it unless Kuryakyn authorizes it. Ordered and had installed at the same dealership.

Sooo? Send 'em the copies. It's really the seller / installers' baby but if they'll cover it go for it.

I need to get a copy of the receipt for the grips. I'll do it in the morning.

I have found Kuryakan to be very accommodating on a couple occasions, you should be just fine.

Update: Kuryakyn sent me a set of grips. Took off the parts I needed. And sent the extras to their Tech Support guys as agreed upon. Getting the Nut out of the Throttle Tube was like the game Operation. Had to use a Long dental type pick to grab it. And pull it towards the hole. Flipped it over and seated it. Blue Loctite on the threads. Got lucky it didn't fall back inside. I did it on Thursday. Friday I returned the extra stuff. Today I took the bike out. 38F and Wet outside. So far so good.
