Question piston orientation on ´02 883

Hi everybody,
Have to do downsize my ride. Was 883<1200 and now has to go 1200>883 to get registered in France So I got myself a pair of goodlooking jugs and pistons from a ´02 883. The jugs were marked F/R but the dude forgot to mark the pistons, duh - and doesn´t remember it anymore
Now, which goes where?
Piston surface reads:
=>
STD4
3625
MA15 on one / MB18 on other
22640-86D on each
both Valvepockets on both pistons are very similar
Skirt sides or clearance are equal
HOWEVER, Piston Pin offset on both pistons is more than 1mm with the larger side towards the arrow. According to

the shorter side goes towards the intake, which means arrows on both pistons point to exhaust side, so arrow on rear goes backwards.
BUT, everywhere it says both arrow to front. And which piston goes F / R?
I´m a bit confused, anyone could help? Thanx a lot

Both arrows point forward (towards the front of the bike), and it makes no difference which one is installed in the front cylinder and which one's installed in the rear cylinder.

Who got to know you have a 1200 at the inspection??? Did you get caught and need to go down or you are scare they will find out about it..

The conversion is written in the official papers (Title of vehicle, KFZ Brief) which won´t match with the data on the COC, which confirms to the VIN that´s the problem. If I rebuild, HD-Fr. will confirm it and COC is valid. Don´t see any other way. Anyone here from France with experience on that?
