What would really be nice is if this message popped up when newbies clicked the "new thread" button for their first 10 or 20 posts so that they had to read it before even posting a message.

If they can't find this thread how do we expect them to post properly? I think we can all agree that making it a sticky helps.....but people still have to find it to read it versus something that was automatically displayed to them.

Why that is absolutely logical Cosmo..very nice....ps it works for old farts too.
