Default 2009 XB12R make over.

Since things are at a stand still with my 90" sportster and not much going to be happening for a while with it other than hammering on it, I figured I'd start a buell thread.. I've already pretty much finished it's build, nothing to crazy as it's my daily now.. Really enjoying this bike, did have a small spill on it from a violent head shake.. Did my own insurance claim and adjustment, battled the insurance and push the estimate about $400 from Totaling..so the insurance paid me $80 an hour to fix the bike and parts money, yay! So.... Had to fix the minor damages, replace the rear wheel, handle bars, shifter and pegs.. Rest was all play money.. Purchased a GPR stabilizer to eliminate any future tank slapping death wobbles.. Got a better wind shield and had everything custom painted by In-Depth customs out of Denton Tx.. Installed the 1125r smoked tail light and got some sick little led turn signals from Koso.. Adjustable levers were a must for me, bike came with an adjustable brake but not clutch so I got a nice ASV for it.. Installed the D&D and have been spending all the time I can dyno tuning with ECMSPY... Ugh what a head ache.. But I've learned ALOT... So anyways here she is:

Yes my thoughts exactly lol, but yeah was healed up after 2 weeks, just a little bit of road rash, I've had worse on the dirt many times lol.. but going down is never a fun experience

By the way, is this completely finished or will there be new additions to it?

Not really sure what the future holds for the Buell. I would like to get some more power so probably a 1275 and head work. But the tuning side is a problem, so would also be considering converting over to Micro squirt and ditching the DDFI-3. Cam choices are also very limited for the 08-09s so I would probably be looking at getting some made. But for right now it's just been getting lots of miles

+1. I'm curious if you'll add anything else to it.
Mostly major upgrades...

Nice work Mat, nor sure how I missed it. Love the stripes.

I also have an 09 Firebolt that is my daily rider. Same color. I've not had any issues with wobble all the way up to 120. Smooth as silk.

Thanks man I love it, has been a great bike.
The wobble I believe was road induced. I had just gone over some uneven tracks in the road and believe the front end hopped a little and allowed the wheel to come down crooked. Causing the tank slap wobble. Since adding the GPR it is no longer a problem

Default Busy Guy

Just stumbled over this thread. Glad you were not seriously hurt and the bike recovered.
What is a GPR?
And tuning, DDFI-3? to MicroSquirt, very interesting but please a little more..
