I just spoke with him, It is 82 or later, sc state police removed the vin from frame and engine and put a sc plate on it, that did it for me, but still maybe enough parts for the 950 price

To be registered within Australia every vehicle MUST HAVE a chassis number.

We rend to stamp the engine number into the frame ourselves.

BUT, not sure with the XLA's and later B's which had data plates on them. The MAY have had a chassis number on the data plate - I just can't remember at the moment.
