Many years ago an Australian magazine (I'm not going to mention names Two Wheels or Revs) wrote a review on an Ironhead Sportster. The "journalist" who wrote the review commented on the "enormous starter motor at the front of the engine"
Could be forgiven but I just wondered how he could write a review without ever starting this bike. It was a CH.

I would vote for one that runs great, needs no work, and is paid for.

A ‘generator’? No man that’s an electronic oil filter, everyone knows that! 🤣

I would have voted for the 65, but I was dumb enough to sell mine 3 years ago. I voted for the 69 CH, because I just snagged one that is very near stock! Love it!

That's from the Mach IV bone sellers.

You'd think they'd know the difference between a generator and a starter.

I think all the Iron Heads are collectable. I picked up a 69 XLH a few months back just because it was a 69. Last week I grabbed an 83 because the price was right. Both were someone else's forgotten projects, started and failed. I'll get both up and enjoy them.
