Default 2019 H-D data from EPA

From EPA Certification-Data spreadsheet, numbers for 2019 H-D models. H-D listed power data in kilowatts. I added the highlighted columns to convert the power data to horsepower. I deleted a lot of columns to reduce the width.

Per the EPA spreadsheet:
- The XL1200C model was used to certify the the Sportster 1200 models
- The Superlow was used to certify the 883 models
- The XL1200C is turning 3,379 rpm at 70 mph
- Sportsters are the only H-D models that use 2 valves per cylinder
- Sportsters are the only H-D models with 5-speed transmissions.

Link to the complete EPA file: https://www.epa.gov/sites/production...6-present.xlsx

Thank you! That is a fantastic spreadsheet with so much data.

I never knew the EPA published that much data.

Interesting
Thanks

This is a smart way to collect intel about our bikes since Mo.Co. doesn't talk very much about that...

I noticed stock rev limiter for xl 1200 is 5.5k
Noticed allso that difference in power between 107 and 114 models are a very few hps...

The Street Rod has a 12:1 compression ratio. ~20% higher that a 1200
The regular 750 is 11:1.
I believe the red line is 9000 rpms. Max power is at about 8700 rpms.
Horse Power is torque X rpm
I'm sure that helps.

If you are strictly riding on surface streets, the street rod is an absolute hoot of a motorcycle. It is super uncomfortable for rides longer than 30 minutes or so, and there are very few aftermarket modifications to be had for it (source: I owned one, traded it for my 1200C)

High RPM'S Low to mid torque. Sounds like a metric crusier. Except less comfortable.
