That sounds likely. My Commando did this after it was dynamically balanced. All the vibration was deliberately in a narrow range just above tick-over but
thereafter it spun smoothly to beyond the redline. Fair enough as it was set up for racing but on the road I used to have to replace rear bulbs several times a week!

I may just get one in raw metal and attempt to weld the signal mount on from the old fender.
it's just a strip of metal with 2 holes in it welded to the bottom side and i think slightly raised where the holes are.
who knows .. maybe just leave the signals off make it look sleeker ..

Nowadays I tend to run with indicators, as most car driver don't seem to know what hand signals mean anymore or are too daft to work it out.
