Finally selling the 97 1200- 3,000 US For quick sale
For sale, or trade for PWC or 4 wheeler.
I am the second owner. Bought the bike in the early 2000's at 4,000 miles, and immediately upgraded to 1200cc's.
She is still registered as an 883.
Currently 34,500 miles on the bike
Cons:
I haven't put this bike on the road since 2015, when a friend of mine lost his life on a bike. Every Spring, I pull it out of storage, put it in the garage, tinker with it, ride it up and down the street, and service it. Every Fall, I winterize it and put it in storage.
It needs a front tire (It just won't pass inspection, but it's fine)
Pros:
High compression package (10:1), must use at least mid-grade gas.
Machine work by Nallin Racing Head Service in Denver.
Custom Ram-Flo intake
Screaming Eagle SEII exhaust
Progressive Front Springs
Stage 2 carb/exhaust modifications completed
Lots of Chrome
Memphis Shades detachable windscreen
"Platform" passenger footrests, and mid-controls with moustache bar.
I have the saddle bags guards, but are not currently installed.
She fires right up, and everything works as it should.
Bike's history can be seen at XLForum.net I am a moderator there, and a former Harley tech. (cantolina)
I have lots of accessories for this bike. Bags for every occasion.
The engine guard in some of these pictures is not on the bike anymore.
I really love this bike, and it makes me sad to sell, but I realized that my lifestyle is now all about boats. Time to let someone else enjoy her.
I will tell you this- She will kick any rice rocket's ass for the first 60 feet. The torque on this baby is outrageous!
FB seems to think its an automatic, but its a 5 speed manual transmission.
I had this bike sold to a good friend (that's how much I trust this bike), but he was injured taking the MC course, and well, that was that.
This bike is the best machine you'll see, in its price range.

Chuck, it’s been a long time since we shared some road, if memory serves me right it was a Lake Erie run. Sorry that your direction takes you elsewhere,( I tore my boat down about 20 years ago and have yet to finish putting her back together- bikes have held me up on this).
You gotta do what you gotta do, someone will have a wonderful ride. Keep it safe!
