Just Data I have found, This has been studied extensively in the automotive world, pop open any factory air box now days and you will find a most likely now plastic screen that looks just like this right before the Map sensors. Been doing a bunch of research on Intake design and Helmholtz resonator theory, some very interesting stuff. Got alot of plans on a custom intake set up when I convert to FI, working out all the details but have a solid plan built. With a well tuned intake track, studies have shown up to 7 or 8 psi boost in VE at the specific tuned RPM, by taking advantage of the Pulse wave created from the intake valve shutting, and timing it to return as the the low pressure is created when the intake valve reopens, forcing air in above achievable levels with a NA motor.
Whole bunch of math involved which I have a couple guys helping with. Idea will be to have the tuned intake length set up to take advantage of the 4th pulse wave and time its return based on intake track length and diameter to come on at around 6800-7800 rpms, if done correctly it in theory can be like adding a supercharger for about 1-2000 RPMS at the specific rpm the wave is tuned to work at. Very interesting stuff and has been taken advantage of in all Naturally aspirated racing platforms. LOTS of ideas and stuff in the works!

The screen yes, it's very easily removed so if I have a major drop in MPH I'll pull it out and run again
