Haha...actually I took the fender off last night. Still trying to decide which looks better, but I live in Oregon, so a front fender, at least for part of the year, is a must.

Hi Johnny5, I had both the 48 and nightster at my local HD stealership looking at me, they were side by side. After 2 months of looking online, forums, galleries I just felt the Nightster lends itself to amateur modification more than the 48 for some reason? Cant put my finger on it but there was something which drew me more to the nightster. Was torn between the front ends and went with the nightster and love it.

Hi Kaizuko, I live in the UK and manage without a fender! I have been caught in some torrential rain and just wrap the bandana round my face and have some good sunglasses under a 3/4 lid with visor however I am looking over the pond for an openface daytona helmet so that should be interesting when the random rain storm hits with no visor to pull down or front fender..haha

Post a pic without the front fender for opinion please.

Ryhd

Thanks man I have alot more work in that fender then I bargained for. I was trying to build it strong enough to put the girl on back but I put the springer seat on and realized it wasnt gunna happen plus I wouldnt be able to sleep at night thinking of what would happen to the fender if I hit a pot hole.
