Same as the above poster. I have my 1980 on the lift as I save up money for buying wire from autozone.

Starting at the fender and working my way forward. Too friggin hot outside yet as I wait for sept.
Bike is wrapped in plastic outside till then.
Dry rot wire insulation from close to 40 years needs replacing. Turn signals are going back on that bike.

I don't have any on mine.. just like the look without them. I had them off before the law changed here in Florida- now you have to run turn signals- have not had any problems, yet....

Well I removed the turn signal the first week I got my 1992 XLH. Today I have 3 bikes and none of them have turn signal. As my children wand to drive bike now, I will put again all turn signal. I have to say that in 1992 it was easier to drive in my city with bikes, now the car driver are 24/24h phone users. Bliking light is understood as low battery warning, witch is the only importand thing in real life to care.
Even when I have to reduce my speed I use my lever's brake only for light blinking as it was a low battery alert.

I was driving in my truck from NJ to CT, back home, and saw a sporty out there riding with no lights and black jacket. It was around 8PM and the sun was down and all I could see was this riders license plate light. I purposely got behind him and gave him extra space cuz traffic was moving and this guy was a shadow driving in the night. I wanted to flash my hazards when he was getting off the highway to give him a heads up but realized he was riding he took his lights off entirely. I feel old posting this but please put those lights on, I know it looks clean but don't compromise your safety.
