Service Bulletin 1326 Regarding Loose Spokes
HD recently came out with service bulletin M1326 in reference to loose spokes on 2012 Sportsters with laced wheels. It's apparently an issue with spokes being found loose during pre delivery inspection (PDI) and under 1k miles.
When I brought my new 72 for its 1K dealer service I specifically asked the tech to check my spokes and he confirmed the service bulletin and it's listed on my receipt.

Death Wobble
I've seen a few videos on U tube that were about the '72's death wobble. One video pointed out that at 70mph he had the wobble. The culprit was 1 missing spoke and several loose spokes on the Rear wheel. I'm running a 21" spoker on front and I always check the spokes on my walk arounds. Common sense.

It's happened with other years also. I remember in 2007 it being an issue.

I put quite a few miles on my ‘72’, and the (functionally identical) ‘05 Custom, and never had even a hint of a wobble. There again, I didn’t ride around with missing spokes either!
