Would rather a longer eye relief scope in 4x power.

Tropical calibers kick like a 12 gage, not bad but mind your eye with scope.

New to me.... The SIG 357 came out in 1994 but I had never heard of the SIG 357 until the recent media attention. After reading up on it, I think I'd love to own a SIG P229 with a spare .40cal barrel. It's said to be the "Most Accurate, Flat Shooting" auto-loader hand gun designed to be compared to the .357 Mag revolver round.

While doing research on the SIG 357, I found ANOTHER round that I've not heard of...... the .460 Rowland. It's an autoloader round that is compared to the .44 mag. revolver round. Like the SIG 357 is a simple barrel change to become a .40 cal, the .460 Rowland is a guide rod change to be able to shoot .45 ACP or .45 ACP +P

Anyone ever shot either of these?

Not keen on hand weapons, prefer shoulder fired with some perceived recoil and at least feathers or orange spray at speed.

I shot some 12ga 3" Mags a couple of months ago and felt the "perceived recoil" for quite a while afterwards. I've shot a Weatherby .378 with less kick.
