Default KT - 2020 - Where Eagles Dare

I'll be posting some of my ride pictures (on Kool Therapy) in this thread
but the rest of the pictures and my ride reports will be posted at

My Motorcycle Chronicles website: >>HERE<<

I have enjoyed seeing Richard Burton & Clint Eastwood in this 1968 WWII drama quite a few times. Burton plays British Commando, John Smith, who, along with Eastwood, as American Morris Schaffer, are leading a British rescue mission to recover an American General from a German, mountaintop fortress. A number of unexpected turns in the plot make this a great movie.

=================================================

While this winter has had above average temperatures, the days haven't really been warm - rather, mostly in the mid to upper 40's, sometimes reaching into the mid-50's. Still, the minimal snow that we've had was a great factor in getting a few rides despite the temps. I'm hoping 2020 will have great riding weather in each season.

So, here it is, January 2, and I've pulled the bike out early for this sunrise picture.

The forecast for the day (low-50's) is enticing me to plan to ride.

You can enjoy more details of all my rides this year:

then choosing 'Miscellaneous Places - 2020' ...

Even Iron Maiden back in the 80's made a song to honor the movie...

Where eagles dare... Piece of mind album... Great Bruce Dickinson

Nice Ken, I did get the last ride of 2019, New Years Eve, stayed out and came back in during snowfall for my first ride of 2020. Oh, temps were in low 20’s, balmy for this time of year.

The temps rose to 50° and the wind was light. I fixed the cable connection to my heated glove liners and I decided to try them out. Halfway thru my 50 mile ride, I connected my gloves and warmed up my hands.

This was a convenient spot to stop and take this picture of the apple trees toppled over to be completely removed. The old trees have started to wane in their production so they are removed and new, young trees are put in their place. This happens all over the thousands of acres of apple orchards on a staggered time schedule so production remains fairly constant.
