I do. You don't because your bike won't.

Mine cruises very nicely at 2,000 rpm in 5th and will accept full throttle and accelerate. Smoothly, no trace of the buck and lurch. Actually it will run along nicely (but not accelerate much) at 1,500 rpm too. Again, no buck and lurch. Gets me thru those "reduce speed" 35 mph speed limit areas nicely without a downshift.

We have roads that carry "Rustic Road" designations that have 35 mph speed limits as part of the designation. Running down them at 40 - 45 mph in 5th is quite relaxing. That's because my bike's mapped below 16" so it will run nicely at lower revs and small throttle openings.

I've looked at the tables as created by the software which should mimic what the dials do
And it a 2 0 map created by the software in Race mode is different subtly to a 2 0 created in Ex mode.
WOT at 30 inch is the same, each line below that is slightly different in a 2 0 table .

You can see the limiting of the Ex variant in the 5 9 tables. WOT is much lower as expected

2 0 as created as an EX table

2 0 as created as a Race table

Ex 5 9 table which is the max for an EX table

Race 5 9 table

.

I don't even get to cruise. always up and down the gears..well the first three any way. do sometime get in to top for half a mile or so. But mainly small twisty roads and lots of junctions.

Most of the riding is up and down the gears at idle -3000 rpm , with the odd quick blast off the line.

Those race tables are all missing the 16inhg line. That's the line you need to compare to the 10-14 lines in the EX tables

They're there on the race table graphics. Seems his numeric tables got clipped and are missing the 16" line.

Sorted

Since so so many of the Custom maps people have created are all within the limits of the Ex version, the so called limitations of a less aggressive advance curve in the Ex module is irrelevant and does give a better chance to tuen to eh lower levels...as you all seem to think it will make no difference. but it will be interesting to see .

I can get another Race version , and can Flash it to Ex, so I can at leat have a play with it, while leaving my original unit untouched

Any more TC88A porn?

I don't understand shite but it really keeps me entertained...

When I get to my bike I will be throwing different Maps in there just for the sake of it and see if I can notice any differences...
