Here in Mazatlan we're usually on mountain time but since we have a shorter daylight savings season for about a month each year we're on Pacific time.

RandyMac, I've been through Crescent City a number of times. There is an organic restaurant on the right as you head out town to the south I like to stop at but can't remember its name. The best part of heading south is heading inland to get warm after that cold Oregon coast.

That is the "Good Harvest", they are down close by the harbor now. They have cool chairs made out of bent branches. Next time try the Chartroom it is right on the water, good seafood and you can watch seals and such in the harbor. It is off to the right.

I live in West Sussex in the UK; in the Arun Valley in the South Downs National Park.

But I would say my stamping grounds are Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, …

Anywhere I can get to in a day's ride really, but those are my favourites.

Mountains... mostly Appenninis south of the Po Valley...
sometimes Alps... far north... you have to cross the entire Po Valley to reach those...

once in a while i ride to the sea...
but for a guy accustomed to rode on mountains since kid... flat land is a bit boring (especially nowadays that there are photo traps everywhere on highways)...
once it was a different story (deserted highways, no traps, a superbike)...
