Well - When your bike thaws out, take another look at this list (or additional posts that might have more items listed) and have a go at it for us...

Thanks for checking in...

This goes for anybody and everybody.

We need pics to supplement some of the articles already written for sure.
Upon your browsing of the Sportsterpedia, if you have or can take a picture that might pertain to or add to one of the articles, we'd like to post it there. We will post credits to the owners of the pics as well. In that way, it does help us to already have an article in which to place new pics. But, there are many articles and subjects that aren't written yet so that doesn't have to be a stumbling block.

The specific history pages are waiting for pics of 'stock' Sportsters (57-2018) and specs to be written, in most cases. Those pics, as most others there, can be included now while waiting for us to come back and add the specs when time permits.

Other possible pics could be,
Pics of 'stock' wheels / carbs / handlebars etc. can be utilized.
Pics showing the different features or location of parts (how to identify or where it's located on the bike) and especially part/serial numbers are important to include if known.

Please keep in mind though it is not possible for us to see every part and automatically know what it is, where it goes, what year models it fits, what it's made of and etc. But, with some diligence and your help, we can get it into the wiki to maybe help the next guy who wants or needs to know.
So, it is important to let us know specifics of the pics as IXL2Relax mentioned. In order for the Sportsterpedia to be as helpful as possible to everyone, we don't want to mislead by mistaking parts or year models used on.

Anything you can do is very much appreciated.

If you need some pics of an '02 883 Hugger, let me know.
I also have some of a '90 Standard.
Both in Impact Blue.

Yes, those would be nice. With the addition of the gallery, we can add any Sportster year model in any configuration.

We need:

Stock (bone stock preferably) bikes to fill up the history section. You can see where we are at here:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/s..._specific_year All of the specs aren't written yet but are on the to-do list.

Non- Stock, Modified or custom bikes will probably go into the main gallery.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/galleryics-menu

It is very helpful and time saving if you can add any modifications from stock and we can list them along with your pictures. Some people might like what you've done/ added and want to try/ use it also. Internal engine mods won't help here but a visual of the difference in cylinders may (as in conversions).

These are the highest res I have. 2002 883 Hugger in Impact blue.
Only major mods at the time were seat, back rest, highway bars and horn kit.
I pulled the windshield, crash bar and rack off already.

Here's a pic of the mods to a Craftsman lift.
I can't find the thread linking the mod pages.
I did see the lift page in the -pedia so maybe add it there.
This is just the table after making the mods and painting.
Already used it and it's very stable. Very happy with it.

And the complete lift. Maybe a brighter color would have helped to see it.

Looks good! What mod pages?

Got any specifics for the size steel? Pics of the progress?

I like the anchors. I've added your pics to the pedia tools section http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...s_brakes_tires under "Lifts and Jacks".
Thank you and you did a great job on it.

Brighter colors just show more dirt anyway. It looks fine.

The tie downs are bent 3/8" bar stock and the mount is 1" square stock.
Both were donated by the scrap bin at work.
I cut the bars to length, stuck them in a vise and smacked them with a 3# hammer until the fit the table snugly.
Details on how to do the mount are at the link.
I did the mount and a guy at work did the welding on the tie downs.
As said before: VERY happy with it.

That being said, it will be too tall for a lowered bike.
With the Hugger suspension (2" lower) I couldn't get the un-modded lift under it without rolling a wheel up on some boards.

Here's links to pages. I don't remember how I got there!
