Default Sportster fender question

Just got rear ended last Sunday. I am looking to replace the rear fender with one of these:

http://www.surdyke.com/AdvPartInfo.a...ber=60236-10DH

Has anyone used one? Does the prepainted one look good, if you used it? Also was it a direct fit as the advertisement implies?

Just waiting on the insurance check...just under $2500 to spend. I'm trying to get by without spending a fortune and really don't need flames on the rear fender as I'm getting set up for a passenger. Any input is appreciated.

That's the kit the dealer used to fix my bike. Prepainted took 12 weeks from the factory. It was pretty much plug and play. I added a taillight license plate mount with mine. So the wiring had to be modified, but not a problem over all.

Thanks for the reply. That's the route I will go. For now, I can still ride with the dented fender, and replace the tail light with the original until the new one arrives. Seems to be a decent price and if it slips right in, I'll be happy. I was going to put the LED brake/running edge light on and catch the wiring prior to the brake/signal module. I figure more lighting back there, the better. Yours looks good. Thanks again.
