Hello Bob F its not as fast as my Triumph which is fast,
i have a vulcan 650s just wondering if HD is as fast as that one, not had chance to try em out yet ,only got Harley last week,

So no one knows what speed the 1200. sporty does as standard

There's no one answer to that question. For one thing the final drive gearing is different in different markets. Then there's rider weight, rider, er, wind resistence, rider posture, saddlebags or not, windscreen or not, tyre pressures, elevation …
If you could hit red line in 5th (big if), your bike would be going 133.6 mph.

Top speed is over rated in a street bike. It's more about how quick you get to a certain speed for me.
Back in the day, I had a GTO that would've had most shitting themselves. Wasn't much for top end speed but it got there real quick if you could keep it on the road.
Even factory, it was a powerful machine.
I rarely go faster than 70mph now days or even use 5th gear.
