Default Need Decent Footpegs 85 sporty

Hey all, Ive been enjoying the forum and the 85 ironhead for about a year. I purchased some reproduction pegs (bike didnt really have any when bought it) and they are junk - the rubber slid off one on the first ride. Can anyone recommend some decent pegs for this? It seems that I need "female" foot pegs that mate with the peg mounts, although if this arrangement is easy to change to allow use of more footpegs out there, please edify me.

Thanks alot
Russ

Try DENNISKIRK.COM or JPCYCLES.COM. Those repop pegs are made with rare chinesium metal and substadard rubber. OR just go look at what HD has to offer.

These are the pegs I bought (the OEM style Pegs), from link 2. Is it easy to change the peg mounts so that I can use a peg that isnt a "female" style end?

It's a bummer to hear they fell apart...
I almost ordered them yesterday. glad i didn't.

unfortunately i can't comment on conversion parts.

-EDIT-

Actually, this post might be useful.
Think it may be a similar process for your bike.

if you've got a drill press and a Tap, it should be pretty simple
