The Motor Co, has to try and move forward or they will slowly go out of business. We’ve seen countless examples of this in all types of industries.

How many people said the same things about EVO engine when they came out. “Ironheads and Shovelheads forever, we don’t what this ugly import looking engine” . Yet the the EVO saved the company. Harley sales are declining, they have to come up with new product. They may not make all the right moves, but at least they are trying.

If they stay the same, they will go the way of old Indian, Triumph and BSA, Norton, etc...

Do those born in 1980 and beyond have the purchasing power to buy these bikes once harley turns them all into crotch rockets? Most economists state they have less than 8k in assets, do not buy cars or want to own homes etc

I read that the $30K livewire is water cooled. The electronics need it.

Just think of all the resources wasted on this. Better to go down a winner then be remembered for this imo. Mistakes like this can bankrupt them too. Hopefully they have enough sense not to produce too many of them.

I do not think this is about the MoCo or motorcycles or even cars or homes, as others have said the snowflake generation really do not seem to care about machines or the real world in general, if it is not online they do not care. I honestly find this removal from reality scary. I used to wish I was born later so I would see more advances in the future, now I am glad I was born in a time when we went out and experienced real life.
