This is from the mid-70's when I briefly owned a Kawasaki H1 - Mach III 500cc Triple...

It was a fire breathing dragon... just amazing...

The H2 was a point and shoot, but not near as bad as my 87 CR500..that bitch was vengeful, mean spirited and bereft of manners.

Now the Suzuki Rg500 was a grin machine, angry but with sophistication at the time...so frickin angry.

One of the weirdest bikes that almost killed me was an 80s era Honda CX 650-T
We had it out on the track tuning and it would lean funny when the turbo started pulling and would squat at same time .. was insane how it pulled but scary as hell how it handled with the transverse engine and shaft drive hooked up to the twin turbos..

I can remember being very cautious the times I rode a shaft drive bike (BMW R75 & Moto Guzzi Le Mans).
I'd been riding around 4 &1/2 years when I swapped bikes with a guy at work in our lunch break. He had a BMW R75 with screen crash bars & panniers, I had an export triumph Bonneville T140. The shaft drive wasn't scary, the side wind that caught the screen was!
