Default How much wider are the mid glide trees . .

than a narrow glide tree? I can get some 16 x 3 black spoke dual disc wheels from a Big twin, the hubs are 6 1/2" wide. So, I think that could be too wide for a Mid Glide tree. I'm thinking I need to lace a narrow hub to a 3" wheel and then space to fit the Mid glide.

I talked to Buchanan and they suggested a narrow hub laced to a 16 x 3 rim.

An inch and a half (I just measured mine as I am doing a 48 conversion on an 04). Narrow glide is seven inches and mid is eight and a half.

You're not talking center to center . .you measured outside to outside?

Centre to centre (yes, that's how we spell centre over here).
I'll see if I can put some photos up.

Good info; thanks for that.
I initially measured mine with a vernier but used a tape in the photos for ease of viewing. As you can see in the photo, however, mine has no clamp bolts on it which would explain the 0.063" discrepancy.

Cheers, Will
