Cool Vivid Black Sportster.....oops!!!

Hello fellow XL members. I am pretty pissed off right now! Last week, I washed and waxed my bike and then used chrome polish on all the chrome. Great!!...Bike looks great.........ok, so I just got home from work today and decided to open the garage and go for a quick ride cause I really needed too. I went to put my helmet on and glanced at the tank quickly near the fuel cap. OMG.......WHAT DID I DO????? I guess when I waxed the bike, there must have been something small and hard on the applicator because now there are little tiny marks that go in a circular motion. You really cant see it. You have to look really close but here I am trying to "beautify" my machine and I made a mess!!.......does anyone have any ideas what I can do to remove the little circular tiny streaks? Forget compound! Aint doing it. Maybe there is a polish or something on the market that I can use to fix booboos like mine for idiots like me....please help!!!! As always, Sportsters rule!!!!!!

Believe it or not, the HD Scratch and Swirl remover is the best thing I've used, yet...and I've tried a bunch...too many to list here, including compound.

Yeah +1 that stuff works pretty good, if you can feel them with your finger nail then they wont come completely.

The clay bar is more to remove any contaminants from the paints surface so scratches and swirls like this wont happen.
As for how to remove the scratches, depending on how deep they are you may need to use a machine polisher (I've got a PorterCable 7424 and I'd HIGHLY recommend it to ANYONE)
Good luck! Oh and if you're gonna try it by hand, one more vote for the Meguiars 1-2-3 system

Maguires Scratch-X works great and is available at most any auto parts store. I've tried the Harley stuff and Nu-Finish and they are much more abrasive and actually leave more swirls on the paint. Be sure to re-wax after it.
