If you want to edit your pictures, I recommend two free tools
Paint.NET: lets you edit the pictures with lots of effects, brush, layers, etc

The GIMP: this one has more features, but is harder to use, comes for windows,linux, mac, etc

Also, you may want to edit the videos of your travels, I recommend this great free tool
VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility, has filters, editing capabilities, etc, you can produce really great videos with your raw footage

I use the free version of Irfanview.
It resizes to anything you want. Has red eye repair, cropping, cplor tone adjustments and special features like twirling the picture, adding bubbles to the picture, make your picture balck and white or a sepia. Plus more
try it, you'll like it.

PIXresizer is a refreshingly simple photo optimization tool. Just google Pixresizer. Very easy to use. Resize one, or multiple pics in one click.
