Could very well been a stock one. Had never heard of one self destructing but another inmate sent me a message speculating that the combination of stock valve train and a 575 cam could have been the culprit as that cam wants more spring pressure. Guess it makes sense?

So, that hammered the roller to death? I can't rule it out, but why just you? I'm sure there are others running that much lift with stock heads (570 for sure). I wring my stock heads out with 560's over 6000 rpm all the time without issues so far. Of course now that I said that...
