Nice to see this turned out well.

FWIW, I would always buy a ike that I can easily part out and make a profit on. If it is something that I have the time/tools/money/talent - and the inclination - then it can be undertaken...and if not, it parts out for a profit (because you don't marry what you can pimp)

You obviously have skills and experience. Which means you must love it because you don't have the excuse the rest of us have. "I had no idea how hard it was going to be." The amount of money in parts, and tools.. and the time? Forget about it! I read your post, (postulate actually) like an action adventure. I couldn't put it down! I'm sitting in my office chair and haven't even put my shoes on yet. You start with the question and still let the reader make the decision based on time, money and (face it) love for the experience as the deciding factors. Excellent! Thank you!
