Default Carb Farts after complete kit

I did a CVP Kit, jets, spring , needle etc. A high flow K&N intake filter with breather bolts and Rush Slip ons for my 06 883. Ive been fiddling with richness adjustment but I cant seem to cut down on carb farts and she will cough/hesitate when I come out of a turn and accelerate slowly. Begining to think its something else. BTW, the coil spring I got in CVP kit was actually shorter than the one that was in the carb, just wondering.....

I had a problem with carb farts coming out of turns with the CVP kit. I replaced the diaphragm spring with the stock one and all is well.

Dude, you are reading my mind. I noted that the CVP spring was in fact shorter that the stock spring. In my mind that would produce a more sluggish response. I will try putting old one back in, wonder why they call that an improvement....

Well no
Still a lean mis-fire caused by the slide opening early
The longer spring could fix it however

I just did what I could to return it back to a state where it didn't do that, easiest one was the spring.

Which CV Performance kit?
Which pilot jet?
Which main jet?
What is the mixture screw setting?
Did the kit include a needle?

I would think a shorter spring would make the slide have a faster response, hence the fart (sudden lean condition). What pilot jet and mix screw turns out are you running?

The needle on the vac slide is a fuel jet... Not air if it moves up faster (aka shorter spring) the fuel will go richer!

You might have a intake leak or are running too lean of a idle jet
