Default $300 vs $50 oxygen sensor

well it seems when i buy something, when i need parts it always is i must have bought something special or uncommon. last vehicle was wheels and tires, this time o2 sensors.
i know that ar (lambda) sensors are usually front cat and o2 is after cat (not always the case) but geeez 300 vs 50 for the same type???
it took some time in OEM parts and aftermarket lookups to cross the sensor but why such a big diff'l?? is it what the market can bear, greed or something else??

what say ye???

It's typical - Look at almost anything on Amazon & you'll find a strange range of pricing - or on eBay - same thing...

Order cheap sensor for a Volkswagen on amazing, was even written made in Germany on it and 19$ instead of the dealer 399$.

Idk if my answer is what your asking but I'll give it a go lol. Always look for top rated sellers and read the feedback, don't buy from people with a lot of negative feedback. When looking at feedback look at how recent they were, you could have a 95% seller rating but in the last 3 months had more negative then positive. Also look for ones that have a good item review, seller feedback and the item review are not the same thing. Might be 2 parts that function and fit the same but from completely different manufacturer, one might have a 4-5 star rating and the other might have a 1-2 star. At the same time though one could have a 4-5 star rating but only 1 review which I wouldn't call reliable, you need to make sure there's several reviews before making a decision on which to buy. Sometimes you just have to go for it bc there isn't any or many reviews for an item but if the seller has good ratings and returns it's less risk.

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for! I'm looking for the cheap o2 sensors, which I'm guessing is not marketed as "Sportster o2 sensors" but rather some generic sensors?

most of the diff i was running across was the connector. the second issue was wide band vs narrow band. o2 sensors can just flip high/low (still varies) or vary the voltage for air/fuel ratio. it is what the ecu is looking for. the after cat one does not need to control mix so a narrow band is used to tell how the cat is performing (not necessarily the case all the time). sometime you can get a universal one and just swap the connection to it, bosch has an unique system for that. some o2 sensor get the ref o2 content through the wiring and some a hole on the sensor. i finally found a HERKO unit out of fl. they been in business awhile and supplies oem, thus 42 vs 300 from nissan.
tedious, just have to ref the oem to aftermarket.
as far as stealbay, the rating number is pure unadulterated BS.

Edit: ahhh! You are not talking about an oxygen sensor for a Sportster, you are talking about oxygen sensor for a Nissan?!
