judging by their website, your engine should be in good hands.

I agree with doodah.

And if you do choose this shop, please report back how things went. I'm guessing a good shop like this is hard to find these days.

Not to take anything away from this shop, and Im sure the owner is a nice guy. However i dont see anything on that website that shows me they are equipped to handle a proper engine rebuild. I did not see one piece of equipment in any of those photos, nor was there a mention. There is quite a difference between shops that can assemble a bike and one that can properly rebuild/refurbish components in house. Lots of talk about glassbead, paint and powdercoat. I could be wrong, but I would be asking questions about in house capabilities.
My $.02.

FWIW, a local dealer uses a NAPA machine shop.

Stop in this shop and talk to them and look at the work areas.

Thanks Mike, they are close enough for me to pay a visit, and yes I agree, I can assemble the engine once all the machine work is done, thanks, Larry

The ‘72 engine in their photo gallery mentioned case repair. If they did that in house, then they are good to go.

Didn't mean to be presumptuous just based on their website. What I meant is, a shop that actually caters to fixing OLD bikes...and assuming they understand a customer's expectation that they're not looking for a hack job or mail-order bike.
