Default Maggy's Cousin Luanne

I am conceptualizing my next chopper project. I had so much fun building Maggy, its time to give it another go. I am looking for an original FXR frame and will mount a new S&S knucklehead 93" motor with a kickstart only tranny.
A girder style front end and sportster king tank would be kool. By the time I pull some parts together, I hope to have the shop ready to go....
Planning is most of the fun....

Ever kick start a 94 incher Joe? I have . But that was 20 years ago and I was a lot bigger and stronger then. Over 300 pounds then.
When I built my softail shovel kick only jockey shift primary belt dry clutch coin changer sounding scooter when you pushed the foot clutch in. I left it at a big bore 74 incher so kick starting was just step on the kicker. Not a lot of jumping involved.

But I guess you will find out later when you get older. Yeah. That is my 1983 FXR parked next to the softail. I dropped a 1984 evo motor in it. Sold the shovel motor.
My FXR is kick and electric start 5 speed.

I can remember kicking my 81 shovel back when I was in my 20s and am glad we have electric starters today. If you insist on having that kicker on the bike, get one that has both. Kicking is a pain.

agree...it will need both. Maggy has both and the kicker actually got me home one day, well almost. The stator was on its last leg while 4 hours out in VT. finally blew when i got to the CT state line. then truck it from there.

Yeah...Harry hit the nail on that one. I dont think I will get to 6'7" 300 lbs anytime soon....lol
While at the jobsite today, I have one of the plumbers almost talked into parting with his FXR. He thinks it is a 1987 model. I kind of like that he doesnt know...tells me a few things...

These guys beat me to it. I read your initial post and thought I wanna see him kick that over!
Sounds like a very interesting build. Looking forward to watching Luanne take shape.
