My OE shocks were 11 3/4" and the only way they were close to tolerable was when they were preloaded so the rear didn't settle at all (shocks were fully extended, topped out) with me sitting on the bike.

With the Ohlins I have normal sag adjusted in so while the shocks are 13.26 fully extended, at ride height (me on the bike), they're 12" eye to eye. Shocks compressed 1 1/4" at ride height.

The bikes' ride height is only slightly higher, 1/4", with the 13.26" Ohlins and the ride is HUGELY better.

I don't miss no rebound or compression adjustment. The shocks work very well. I have Ohlins forks and shock on my R9T that do have clickers so I have a frame of reference.
