Thanks again for helping with the questions.
swapped the carb over and love it. Had a couple of heart sinking paranoia moments when test riding thinking it was cutting out. Then realized I'd just eased off the throttle it's that responsive

One more on the choke cable and compatibility,
I lost the elbow from the cv carb so ended up using a barrel adjust from a bicycle brake to make it work and give the "correct" tension as a temporary set up

If I order Mikuni Choke Cable - Manufacturer Part Number: 990-662-002.
Do I have to swap the parts between the two cables as described here http://www.mikuni.com/fs-choke_cable.html
or can I use the mikuni one as a complete replacement?
