Hello again. Finally Friday! Time to update the thread!
As usual I just rode the bike during the spring, summer and autumn. The only upgrade that I performed during the riding season 2019 was to change the stiff braided hose between the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) and the injectors. The reason for this was that I suddenly realized that I did'nt have any injector pulse dampening at all in the system. So therefore I made a new more flexible fuel line of rubber hose.
(As usuall all the pics are clickys, click twice for max size)

As mentioned before the bike was covered in articles in the Swedish Custom Bike mag MCM and the US Magazine American Iron. But during the Autumn I also found out that the bike was covered in the German Custom Magazine "Dream Machines". Very flattering!

Here is a link to the Dream Machines article: https://www.dream-machines.de/bikes/...lt_191028.html

The 25:th of october I took the last 2019 ride. Stopped by and took this pic with Stockholm city in the background. Had to warm my hands on the hot engine in order to take the pic

The main project this Winter then started. Since this is a street tracker I have been running 18"/18" wheels on this bike. The reason for this was to get the equal size wheel look. A hallmark of the true flat track bikes.
But this effect have never been fulfilled due to the fact that the rear 150/70 tire have been larger than the 120/70 front tire. The outer diameter of the rear tire have been dominant. I have never liked that look.
Another disadvantage with 18" rear tire have been the very limited marked of sticky tires in this dimension. But with a 17" rear rim I would end up in the sportbike section of tires with a huge amount of tires to choose from.
With a 17" rear tire the bike would also look more agile, with more clearance in the "wheelhouse".

So with Brexit coming up I hurried to order one undrilled 40-spoke Morad TC 17"X4.25" alloy rim from central Wheel in UK.

After having received the new rim I dismounted the rear wheel and turned over the parts to my friend Sixten Ehrling the Wheel Master
He then started to disassemble my wheel. Shorten the stainless spokes, drill the new rim and lace the new 17" rim to my ISR cush drive hub.

Down below is the new 17" rim to the left for comparison

While the rear wheel was in Sixtens shop I took the opportunity to improve the look of my chain guard. When I fabricated this chain guard in 2007 I didnt have any provisions to weld aluminum. Hence the straight end of the chainguard (which I never have liked). So with hand tools and the TIG-welder I improved the look of the rear section av the chain guard.

This is how it came out (before polishing)

/Jörgen

Nice upgrades Jorgen. Your bike looks great! Yea you will have a much better tyre selection with the 17 inch rim. Have you had your bike over some scales?
