That is total BS. They should only be concerned with the vehicle they are insuring. What if you just turn off your phone when riding your bike? I know that's a bullshit solution, but it might be your only one. Maybe just remember to always shut off your phone before driving or riding?
I won't take long to make that a habit if necessary. Like buckling your seat belt or putting on your helmet.

John,
Probably a good solution, but I ride so much I will never remember
They actually didn't raise me for declining
Insurance co's have more money than about anything else
Their lobbying funds are unlimited. THEY write the insurance laws
Assets worldwide 2002: $15 trillion
2022" $41 trillion
Not hard to figure out who makes the "laws"

My no vote was for several reasons:
1. at age 76, M/C #22 is expected to be my last
2. too expensive to purchase
3. replacement batteries too expensive
4. charge time too long
5. too quiet
I do own and use many battery operated tools
If eye issues reoccur in Spring of 2026, when time to renew my license, a grandson may "inherit" my V7-850 and I would likely buy an electric bicycle.
