Okay So I took the rockers off, everything was tight, opened the cam chest, cleaned all the oil passage . Oil cooler reinstalled, prime the oil pump and got oil to come out the oil cooler. Button everything up and after 10 minutes ride the slight knocking started again.
Since I was up the street I nursed it back home.
I thought may it could be coming from the primary. So I checked the chain and it was really tight no play. So I adjusted it and went down the alley and the knock was worse.

Took the primary cover off to check everything. Well the clutch is burnt.
So I'm putting a new clutch pack in. I'll know if that was it.
What are the odds that the noise would start just when I was installing the oil cooler??
Maybe I did not inspect and clean the basket enough after the Plate fell apart with all the bright rivets. I took the time to file off and polish all the little groves.

Clutch should be in a few days, I'll keep you guys poste.

Shit,my plate blew up so i replaced the clutch pack, week later the stator died !
Looked like maybe a piece of spring or rivet shorted the stator !

Well New clutch and the noise is worst than ever. Only rode it 50 yards and shut it down.
While I had it apart for the clutch I had taken the spark plug out there is no noise in the cylinders. It sure sound like it is the crank. The only way to know is to split the Case.
This may have gone on for a long time, causing other issue like heat and lost of power i'm guessing and now the crank is only completely failing so you can hear it. Noise is very similar to vid from another thread.

Time to investigate.

The 04 and 05s did have issues with the cranks, it is usually the front rod that fails on the big end. No need to split the cases to check, just pull the cylinder and check the rod for up and down movement, there should be none.
