I had a solo seat with that bracket. It mounted to the fender brace bolt on the outside of the brace.

You're placing a lot of faith that those holes attaching to the rear of the seat are gonna match ANYTHING at all. When I get a chance I'll snap some photos of what I did to remedy the situation on my 77.
I also got one of those Italian seats and no the curvature is WAY off, at least for the stock front frame bracket and fender.

The closest fitting position is with the tabs going over the fender nuts but the front seat tab isn't going to fit the frame bracket without me cutting some off. I'm not willing to alter the frame for a seat. I got the new/next bracket and I think it's too large being 12 1/2" for the frame section and 11" for the seat but if I cut off the round bar I'm left with a bracket 12 x 6 1/4. If it was a steel seat pan I'd have more options but composite isn't going to give me the rigidity I'm comfortable with. At this point one of those slotted frame brackets and spacers to replace the springs looks like a new direction. I'll just get a bottle of scotch and forget the money I spent. A litre should do it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

For clarity, here's the seat at the moment. I't way to big for the look I want. If I wanted a tractor. I would have bought one.

Mine actually hangs over with the brackets like that. I bought it off eBay as a 70's seat because my stock cobra one has a broken plastic pan. Still in the basement and I may try to fix it some day. I'll have to snag a pic of the one I have on now (it's in my sig pic). Same exact setup as OP.
